New Residential Connection: Here is what you need:
1. Chief Electrical Inspector’s Certificate of Approval: If everything is in order, this will be issued by the Electrical Department of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Port Services & Transportation. Your property must be wired by a licensed electrician and inspected by officials from the Electrical Department. A Chief Electrical Inspector’s Certificate of Approval must be presented at the time of application for service, but within three (3) months of issue by the Electrical Department.
2.Valid National Photo Identification Card: This includes a National ID, Passport or Driver’s License for nationals and non-nationals.
3.Land Register: This should be no older than 30 days and can be obtained at the Land Registry Section at the Ministry of Physical Development.
4.Security Deposit: The minimum deposit required is $200.00. The security deposit however varies based on the kilowatt-hour (kWh) usage of appliances and equipment on premises. The deposit will be retained by LUCELEC and accrue interest at 2% per annum.
